Job Description

Job Summary:

As part of a leading global aerospace 145 repair station technician the Aviation Technician is responsible for maintenance and alteration tasks on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturers’ Instructions for Continued Airworthiness, Services Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to safely operate tools and equipment used within their assigned area of responsibility to include, but not limited to:
  • Properly record the work performed on the appropriate maintenance record
  • Ability to work independently and interpret written instructions and diagnostic test equipment
  • Disassembly and assembly of Aircraft components
  • Clean and paint bench components
  • Perform visual inspection of components
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 2 years of TIG welding experience
  • Ability to read and write in English

Preferred Requirements

  • Federal Aviation Administration Airframe & Power Plant License
  • 2 years’ experience in Hydro Testing of compressed cylinders
  • 6 months experience with aviation Halon recovery systems
  • Knowledge of aircraft welding
  • Working knowledge of civil aviation fire suppression systems
  • Working knowledge of civil aviation directives and practices
