Lake Cumberland Medical Assoc
Description

Applies the appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes to individual patient health information for data retrieval, analysis, and claims processing.

Qualifications

Minimum Education

* High School graduate or equivalent.

Required Skills/Certification:

* Current RHIT, CPC, or CCA certification.

* Knowledge of diagnoses/procedures in accordance with ICD-10-CM and CPT coding principles for Ambulatory Surgery Center preferred.

Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Language Skills: Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Minimum Work Experience* Two years experience in billing, insurance, office procedures in a medical setting preferred.
