Full-time, Days

5G is a 22-bed post operative surgical acute care, telemetry unit. The unit specializes in the colorectal surgery patient population with comprehensive ERAS protocols that have great quality outcomes. 5G also serves the general surgery population, complex patients with multiple co-morbidities & MDRO patients while also treating stable cardiac patients. 5G accommodates patients from the adult to geriatric population. Points of access for this population can be from multiple origins including outpatient surgery, emergency department, transfers within the hospital, direct admits from physician offices and other outlying facilities. The purpose of this unit is to provide great quality outcomes and care to all patients through a multidisciplinary team approach.

- Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky

- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, an Associate's Degree in Nursing will be acceptable for initial hire with the understanding that the individual must be enrolled within 12 months in a Bachelors Degree program and must have achieved the degree within 5 years.

- Basic Life Support

- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment
