Job Description:
The role of the Baptist Health Chemical Dependency IOP Therapist is to provide clinical treatment and oversight of the Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program (CD IOP). It is the role of the therapist to provide initial assessment and consultation to patients prior to program admission. Therapist is to provide direct therapeutic group services, and individual consultation and services when needed, with emphasis on substance abuse and recovery. The CD IOP will uphold an ethical practice, adhering to regulations, and enforce the guidelines of the CD IOP program. The CD IOP Therapist will upkeep treatment plans, screening tools, daily progress notes, and all documentation required for programming. The CD IOP Therapist also completes and facilities referrals for recommendations to bridge the gap of continued care, if another level of care is recommended. The therapist will tend to tasks that support the overall operations of the program, by working with support staff. The therapist will participate in staffing with the medical providers and other members of the treatment team on a routine basis for quality of care.
