Surgical First Assist Full Time

I. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required

  • Surgical First Assist facilitates the delivery of perioperative nursing care by assisting the surgeon in achieving desired surgical outcomes.
  • Supports the surgery department by providing direct patient care, evaluating outcomes and adjusting nursing care process to adhere to legal, ethical, and clinical standards.
  • Demonstrates the spirit of Baptist health Corbin values and standards through actions and speech.
  • Adheres to specific hospital policy and procedures and will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from accredited surgical technology program and Surgical First Assist Program
  • Current state license/Certification
  • Completed CFA/CSA through accredited program.
  • CPR Certified
