I. Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required
Surgical First Assist facilitates the delivery of perioperative nursing care by assisting the surgeon in achieving desired surgical outcomes.
Supports the surgery department by providing direct patient care, evaluating outcomes and adjusting nursing care process to adhere to legal, ethical, and clinical standards.
Demonstrates the spirit of Baptist health Corbin values and standards through actions and speech.
Adheres to specific hospital policy and procedures and will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.
Requirements:
Graduate from accredited surgical technology program and Surgical First Assist Program
Current state license/Certification
Completed CFA/CSA through accredited program.
CPR Certified
