The Supervisor will assist the managers in the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services department.
Monitors employees work performance daily by conducting, documenting, and following up on quality inspections, Sim Lab audits, and patient interviews. Communicates findings with employees and assures that deficiencies are corrected. (70%)
Rearranges daily work assignments as necessary in response to call-outs, patient census, etc. (10%)
Conducts 45-day, 90-day and annual EDDs for employees; Completes 60-day and 180-day Stay Interviews with new staff; Collaborates with EVS Manager to coach/counsel employees with regards to deficiencies in job performance or policy violations. (10%)
Communicates with EVS Leadership Team concerns, issues, unsafe conditions, repairs, and End of Day reports. (5%)

Minimum Education, Experience/Skills, Training, and Licensures Required:
Previous Housekeeping Experience Required
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred experience
3 years of previous leadership experience or 5 years of Healthcare Environmental Services experience in lieu of leadership experience.
Demonstrates effective oral/written communication skills required to interact with patients, staff, and leadership.
Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary to promote and maintain positive relationships with team members, patients, visitors, physicians, and others.
Demonstrates ability to organize/prioritize tasks.
Demonstrates ability to recruit and retain qualified and competent staff.
Demonstrates ability to work independently by using critical thinking skills
Demonstrates knowledge of all infection control processes/procedures to provide a safe, clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Demonstrates the ability to direct the work of others.
