GRW Engineers, Inc. has a career opportunity available for an experienced Civil / Site CADD Technician / Senior Designer in our Lexington office.

This position will assist project managers and engineers with the design and layout of civil / site engineering design drawings. Typical projects include private and municipal site layout design, geometric layouts, profiles, cross sections, grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control designs. Preparation of construction quantities for cost estimating and assistance with permitting for governmental/regulatory agencies is included. Site visits for collecting data (pictures, minor field measurements) may be required.

GRW is seeking the following qualifications:

  • Education and experience combination should include an appropriate combination of the following:
    • Vocational certificate or 2-year degree in Civil Technology with 5-10 years of experience designing civil / site development projects in a consulting engineering environment.
  • Current Civil 3D expertise is essential.
    • Experience creating and setting up Civil 3D templates and styles.
    • Experience with Civil 3D grading, surfaces, corridors, alignments and section/profiles.
  • Training to familiarize the successful candidate with specific client needs will be provided.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) / 3-D experience a plus.
  • ARC GIS skills a plus.
  • Surveying experience a plus.
  • Construction experience a plus.
