Job Summary

Responsible for performance in a timely manner of all technical and administrative aspects of the assigned laboratory section. Maintains laboratory services in accordance with standards established by the College of American Pathologists, TJC, and other related federal, state, and accrediting agencies.

  • Education and Employee Development
  • Supervisory/Technical Duties
  • Maintains procedures, QC, equipment and inventory
  • Quality improvement and problem solving
  • Enforces safety and infection control policies

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required:

  • Baccalaureate degree with MT (ASCP) or equivalent or baccalaureate degree and work experience to meet CLIA 88 standards for general supervisor position. ASCP certification preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of two years' experience in increasingly responsible positions in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Registered as a Medical Technologist through ASCP, NCA, AMT, HEW or equivalent required.
  • Generalist/Clinical Laboratory experience required.
