Your responsibilities
1. Study blueprints or setup instructions to determine dimensions, proper tooling and hardness depth. undefined. 2. Secure work piece on the rotating positioner. undefined. 3. Set and adjust inductors and check air gap between the work piece and inductors undefined. 4. Set and adjust the electronic controls, speed of rotation and the volume and direction of quench solution flow. undefined. 5. Maintain check on hardening area of gear teeth using temperature stick and time the hardening cycle according to depth desired. undefined. 6. Use hardness tester and record hardness tests at specified points on hardened surface. undefined. 7. Check entire hardened surface for cracks or other flaws using die solution. undefined. 8. Notifies supervisor if machined work piece does not conform to specifications or if machine malfunctions. undefined. 9. Accurately complete appropriate production cards undefined. 10. Assist in the completion of duties as assigned by the supervisor in the event of excessive workloads, vacations, machine malfunction or absences. 11. Properly maintains machines and insure maximum machine performance. 12. Follow all company rules and performs all duties and machine operations in a safe manner.
