We are searching for a Registered Nurse to identify and provide care for the patient with an ostomy and/or acute skin problem in all settings. Serve as a consultant in the care of patients with complex draining wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers and skin problems related to fecal and urinary incontinence and all types of ostomies. Collaborate with patients/families and health care providers in achieving optimal patient outcomes. Identify the learning needs of staff, patients and families in relation to the care of ostomies, wounds, pressure ulcers or other skin problems and participate in designing, implementing and evaluating comprehensive teaching programs.

  • Hours: 24hrs
  • Shift: 8:00am-6:00pm (variable start time) - Day/Evening shift, weekend & holiday rotation; M-F
  • Location: S-Enterostomal- St. Luke's Hospital - New Bedford, MA
  • Travel: Driving on average 3 or more times per week required

Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.
  • Three (3) years related work experience required.
  • Wound Ostomy Certification Preferred upon hire or required within 2 years of hire.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

  • $7,200 New Hire Sign On with 3+ years of experience
  • $6,000 New Hire Sign On with 1-3 years of experience
  • $4,500 New Hire Sign On with less than 1 year of experience
  • Rehires termed greater than 1 year are eligible
