Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Electrical Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team.As a member of the operations team, the Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
    Prepares material specimens for various electrical test required for research & development of Electric Vehicles (EV) charging cable assemblies.
  • Performs tests as directed by customer specifications
  • At times operates under the supervision of a more senior test technician and/or a Department Manager
  • Interacts periodically with customers
  • Gathers and records test data
  • Constructs and maintains various test fixtures and other laboratory equipment to ensure proper working order with little supervision

Skills / Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of laboratory safety
  • Minimum fo a two-year associate degree in electrical/electronic discipline and/or equivalent experience
  • Possess an aptitude for electrical or electronic technology
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of Voltage, AC/DC and OHM's Law
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a testing related field
  • Basic understanding of laboratory equipment including Multimeter and Oscilloscope
  • Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed
  • Basic understanding of testing concepts
  • Possess computer skills

Physical Demands:

  • Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate)
  • Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and >50 lbs. on occasion
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
