Inovalon is seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Architect to join our team and play a crucial role in the development of our Enterprise Data and Analytics Platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Snowflake and a strong background in data management, data warehousing, and data engineering. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale data ingestion, storage, and processing solutions using Snowflake and other relevant technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, optimize, and oversee the company's logical, conceptual, and physical data models, ensuring alignment with business needs and environment.
  • Act as a data domain expert for Snowflake in a collaborative environment, providing guidance and best practices.
  • Architecting scalable and efficient data models and ensuring seamless integration with various data sources
  • Set up Resource monitors, RBAC controls, scalable virtual warehouse, SQL performance tuning, zero copy clone, time travel, and automating processes.
  • Handle structured/semi-structured data (JSON, etc.) and work with relational and NoSQL data stores, methods, and approaches (star and snowflake, dimensional modeling).
  • Ensure data security and data governance, including data collection, cleansing, loading, storage, and analysis.
  • Develop comprehensive cost analysis, monitoring and remediation ensuring cost efficient utilization of Snowflake platform
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design effective analytics solutions and models using Snowflake.
  • Experience in suggesting in innovative solutions based on Snowflake new features and latest trends to development team.
  • Expertise in deploying Snowflake features like Data Sharing.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience implementing data management solutions, with a focus on Snowflake.
  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake concepts and hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, design, and implementation
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL, and data engineering
  • Familiarity with data security and data governance best practices.
  • Must have worked on live Snowflake projects.
  • Strong experience in SQL/Linux/Python scripting and database design principles.
  • Excellent experience with cloud-based services and platforms, preferably AWS
  • Hands on experience with data management technologies, such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Should be able to troubleshoot problems across infrastructure, platform, and application domains.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A growth mindset and excitement about breaking the status quo by seeking innovative solutions

What You Will Be Doing

  • Understand customer requirements and define product strategies
  • Design, develop, and operate highly reliable large scale data lake/data warehouse systems
  • Embrace Snowflake innovations with open-source standards and tool sets
  • Partner closely with Product teams to understand requirements and design cutting edge new capabilities that go directly into customer's hands
  • Set technical directions and influence cross-functional teams
  • Work in a globally distributed team to provide robust enterprise data platform in Snowflake
  • Design, optimize, document, and implement the operational aspects in supporting the snowflake cloud data platform. Including cost monitoring and optimizations, user security auditing
  • Implement/support automation for production deployment in Snowflake
  • Implement Snowflake standards and methodologies for DB security both infrastructure and app level
  • Implement/support automation for administering Snowflake Accounts/Databases and access roles
  • Implement data sharing /replication cross cloud/cross region for internal/external clients
  • Create Snowflake utilization and capacity plan
  • Propose and implement DB / Snowflake query performance optimizations.
  • Identify system(s) bottlenecks and recommend solutions
  • Design/Implement data encryption/decryption/masking policies to protect PII/PCI data
  • Work as admin on Snowflake on AWS i.e., Configuration, Data migration and security

The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. At Inovalon, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.

$135,372$170,000 USD
