Overview

Responsible for implementing, designing, and providing support for business and administrative analytics within the revenue cycle functional areas as an individual contributor. Develops dashboards and reports with key performance indicators, metrics, data points, and formulas to support management objectives. Work closely with business center leaders and other department leaders to investigate and design strategic initiatives in order to improve revenue cycle statistics, reporting capabilities, and overall performance.

Responsibilities
    Works closely with Revenue Cycle Leadership to create and maintain dashboards, KPI metrics, and comparisons to best practice
  • Data visualization and storytelling involving the extraction and manipulation of data from multiple systems including database systems (SQL, Oracle, Microsoft Access, Alteryx or comparable system)
  • Implementing an analytics report from start to finish, designing reports from requirements (e.g., measurement plan), and utilizing data visualization platforms like PowerBI, etc
  • Prepares ad hoc reporting support for deep-dive analytics for Revenue Cycle Leadership or Business Center Leaders
  • Organizes statistical findings; interprets, simplifies, and presents information in order to champion initiatives to support data integrity and overall revenue cycle performance and efficiency
  • Analyzes qualitative and quantitative data as necessary throughout the course of a project including the development of data collection strategies
  • Optimize reporting from Waystar, Instamed, Wellsky, and other billing and collections systems to drive performance improvement
  • Works with Revenue Cycle Team to identify unmet needs and streamline reporting processes
  • Oversee the development and execution of monitoring tools to ensure effectiveness of revenue cycle projects and processes
  • Collects data, such as cash receipts, Accounts Receivable Aging, and track adjustments to report and research variances
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Department Managers, Compliance, Operations Leadership, and IT/Digital Operations to collect and analyze data
  • Presents information in various ways for visualization and action
  • Assist in identifying and documenting process improvement opportunities
  • Performs other tasks as assigned
  • Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years of experience in a revenue cycle healthcare setting preferred
  • Two or more years of building data models
  • Advanced Excel knowledge with demonstrated success in dashboard creation and management required
  • Two or more years of experience working with SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, or similar software preferred
  • Ability to analyze data to identify trends and issues
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines successfully
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to QA and troubleshoot data
  • Travel 10-20%
