Job Summary
The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) has a thorough knowledge of the skills associated with providing respiratory care. An RRT has been through extensive clinical and academic training to become proficient in a wide variety of specialized respiratory procedures. The RRT presents a pleasing and helpful attitude to all internal and external customers. The RRT supports and contributes to departmental and hospital objectives by functioning as a lead therapist in all aspects of respiratory care. The RRT supports the fulfillment of the departmental mission of providing quality respiratory care on a timely basis. The RRT complies with all local, state, and federal rules and regulations, and the requirements of all accrediting bodies. The RRT/CRT adheres to established policies and procedures of the department and hospital.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Routine Therapy for Neonatal/Pediatric/Adult Patients
2.Ventilator Management for Adult Patients
3. Diagnostic Procedures
4.Documentation
Minimum Education, Training, and Experience
Required:
Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care or graduate pending credentials.
Current BCLS
NRP certification must be acquired within (3) three months of hire
Current ACLS certification
PALS certification
Current Kentucky State Licensure.
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care/Applied Science.
One year critical care experience.
