Wurth Revcar Fasteners, Inc., a division of the Wurth Group, is currently seeking a Military Quality Control Inspector for our Roanoke, VA location.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Military Quality Control Inspector is responsible for general and specific tasks related to the quality of military grade product, specifically by inspecting product according to set standards that will ensure customer requirements are met. This position requires the following functions in order to guarantee a quality product is being supplied to customers in a timely manner: analyzing, reporting, inspecting, interpreting, and quality assurance.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Inspects incoming product from suppliers to determine if dimensions and other aspects meet the standards set by the customer requirements.
  • Reads and interprets fastener blueprints and CAD drawings. while analyzing specifications, customer contracts and customer quality requirements.
  • Utilizes gauges (Go/No Go ring, micrometers, calipers, & optical comparator) to perform frequent quality inspections of parts.
  • Counts parts out to fill customer orders.
  • Ensures documentation conforms to specification and dimensional requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three months or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc. preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
