Job Description:

Essential Job Functions

  • Annual Fund and Direct Mail Program
  • Work with advancement team to develop annual fund strategy and set goals to achieve a significant increase in philanthropic contributions annually
  • Annually expand our base of donors, with strategies to continually grow the donor pipeline over multiple years
  • Effectively convey the organization's mission, objectives, programs, outcomes and impacts in asks, in one-on-one conversations and with larger groups
  • Produce annual appeal letters and donor acknowledgement letters for direct mail campaign
  • Create and distribute effective donor communications (updating donors on the results of their gifts, news, etc.)
  • Implement strategy for identification and stewardship of new donors
  • Diversify annual fund campaign to include online solicitation and email strategies
  • Provide regular analysis of donor base and help to create donor strategy
  • Create and implement strategy for stewardship of donors
  • Coordinate monthly tour and point of entry events with Senior Director of Advancement
  • Attend various functions to aid in outreach and engagement
  • Manage a personal portfolio of Donors
  • Build relationships based on credibility, trust, knowledge, and understanding of prospective and current supporters' values and priorities
  • Identify and personally solicit prospects for donors under $1,000
  • Develop and implement internal giving campaigns
  • Coordinate with Metro United Way to conduct annual campaign and attend MUW events as needed
  • Solicit employees for annual employee giving efforts
  • Builds and nurtures culture of philanthropy internally; ensures effective, positive working relationships with colleagues
  • Participate in planning meetings, special assignments, assist colleagues and provide support for ongoing operations and programs as needed.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree from four-yearcollegeor university, preferably in a communications field (e.g., English, journalism, marketing, fund-raising); or
  • 4-6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
