Job Description:

Under general supervision, the Director of Inpatient Forensic Services' responsibilities are split between administrative, clinical, and teaching and supervision of staff, practicum students, and interns at the Kentucky Correctional Psychiatric Center (KCPC). Must be a licensed psychologist, preferred experience with inpatient SMI treatment. KCPC uses a multi-discipline approach (Psychiatry, Psychology, Medical, Social Workers, Correctional Officers, etc.) to complete forensic competency evaluations, competency restoration, and criminal responsibility evaluations for pre-trial patients. KCPC also provides inpatient treatment for individuals who have been adjudicated incompetent to stand trial and are held on a civil commitment order. "This position is deemed essential and has been designated for mandatory operations by the Appointing Authority; therefore, the incumbent is not eligible for Adverse Weather Leave."
