The successful candidate will provide drafting and design services on various electrical engineering projects in the energy sector. This position will include, but may not be limited to, the following:

• preparation of plans, profiles, sections and detail drawings related to electrical engineering work using AutoCAD.
• gather data from existing drawings, rough sketches, surveys, and/or from general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures.
• work closely with other Designer/Drafters and Engineers to ensure a coordinated design.
• operation of CADD workstations, plotters, printers, and other associated equipment to support the preparation of designs for engineering projects.
• develop new standard content

To be successful in this role you shouldhave the ability to apply standard drafting/design principles and theories to complete assignments. You will also utilize project specifications, work plans, and drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Essential skills and attributes:

• Demonstrated proficiency in CAD drafting and the latest AutoCAD software
• Ability to read and understand electrical and instrumentation drawings and redline markups
• Familiarity with Bluebeam software is preferred but no required
• Applicants will be required to demonstrate skills in AutoCAD and other job-related activities at time of interview
• Familiarity with CADWorx is preferred but not required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
• Possess excellent analytical and math skills
• Have effective written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in teams and independently
