Lendlease manages one of the largest portfolios as part of the US Department of Defense's Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI), a program that provides for the transfer of military housing assets to private sector companies. JOB SUMMARY

In this role you will plan and manage renovation, repair, and upgrade projects, as well as new construction projects for the over 2000 homes at the Ft. Knox army base. You will additionally get to assist in analyzing needs and market factors over multiple neighborhoods to determine recapitalization priorities and plan construction scope of works accordingly.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The following describes the general nature of the work anticipated in this role and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all required to be performed.

  • Work with the Sr Development Manager and Project Director to identify potential project opportunities and risks.
  • Drive the process to obtain permits and approvals required to start and conclude the projects.
  • Execute the delivery of construction projects including writing scopes of work, selecting contractors (procurement), administering contracts, scheduling, pre-planning and enforcing safe execution of work, monitoring quality, tracking work completion, addressing change order requests and managing project budgets.
  • Conduct regular project meetings with stakeholders, including the community's leasing and maintenance management company, design and construction teams.
  • Prepare development proposals and presentations, operating budgets, and monthly cost reports.
  • Periodically revise the Project's financial pro forma and business plans, working under the guidance of the Sr Development Manager or Project Director
  • Help prepare and administer project contracts, schedules, and budgets, as directed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Solid experience planning and running construction projects, preferably including single-family home renovation and ground-up projects.
  • Will need to be skilled in writing scopes, contractor procurement, reading plans, scheduling, job site supervision and enforcing safety.
  • Should have the ability to develop detailed construction plans to a set budget for presentation to a professional client.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, as well as Yardi or similar property management software.
  • College Bachelor's Degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or equivalent experience.
