Job Description:

Registered Respiratory Therapist-Part-Time

  • Primarily responsible for performing respiratory Care procedures, as prescribed, without supervision in accordance with department and hospital policies/procedures.
  • May also be called upon for expert advice in matters of cardiopulmonary care. Shares in clinical evaluation of care, including the establishment of therapeutic objectives and review of care.
  • Primarily responsible for ventilator management, including adult, pediatric, and neonatal ventilator management, oxygen therapy, non-invasive ventilator management (BIPAP/CPAP), aerosol therapy, arterial blood gases (ABGs) and analysis, airway management, , and if trained, may preform Electroencephalography (EEG).
  • All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives. May also be trained in performing Electroencephalography (EEG).

Requirements:

  • College graduate and Registered by the NBRC (National Board of Respiratory Care) required.
  • Current active certification from the KBRC (Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care)
  • Active membership with the AARC (American Association of Respiratory Care) is preferred.
