How You'll Perform the Role

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for supervision of the maintenance Employees as they perform their work on production and plant support systems. He also oversees the day-to-day Electrical needs of the equipment and plant.

  • Monitors all equipment to ensure reliability.
  • Experience with relay logic design, three phase motors, controls, and drives.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in core maintenance fundamentals in, hydraulics, pneumatics, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair.
  • Supervises the Repair and services on all types of electrical equipment, plant instrumentation and PLC's.
  • Supervises and Participates in the preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, 5S and equipment improvement teams.
  • Experience in CMMS implementation and planning.
  • Experience in Root Cause analysis, and continuous improvement process.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use AutoCAD.
  • Provides support to all maintenance technicians.
  • Identifies and reports opportunities for improvement of PM's and spare parts controls.
  • Works within an environment focused on the reduction of unplanned downtime.
  • Works collaboratively with other functional areas to ensure accomplishment of overall plant objectives.
  • Applies lean manufacturing tools and principles in maintenance activities.
  • Works within scheduling requirements

What We Need From You

  • 3+ years of previous Industrial Electrical Supervision experience:
    • working with high voltage 3 phase power systems
    • working with 480 volts
    • working with low voltage
    • working with AC Drives and motors (repairing and rebuilding)
    • Understanding relay logic
    • Reading Schematics
    • Setting up new equipment / installation in a manufacturing
    • Machine electrical panel wiring
  • Ability to read blueprints and use AutoCAD.
  • Degree or certification in electrical or maintenance field is preferred.
  • Must have proper electrical education and training
  • Successfully passing the NOCTI Exam
  • Must have basic reading, math and communication skills.
  • Previous Electrician experience in a manufacturing plant troubleshooting and fixing electrical and other issues
  • Not afraid of heights
  • Previous experience Supervising in a Union Environment is a plus.
  • Strong communication both verbal and written.
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
  • Attendance is crucial to position.
