Job Description:

As the Coordinator of Clinical Compliance and Accreditation, this role is pivotal in ensuring the adherence to regulatory standards and accreditation requirements within the nursing programs at Bellarmine University. The incumbent is tasked with meticulously tracking and maintaining compliance documentation for students engaged in both undergraduate and graduate clinical rotations, as well as for Clinical Instructors and preceptors. Additionally, the position involves maintaining compliance records for clinical sites utilized by both undergraduate and graduate programs, ensuring alignment with established standards and protocols.

Integral to the role is the responsibility for inputting clinical groups and shifts into CB Bridges for efficient scheduling of clinical rotations, as well as tracking and maintaining documentation for CAP (Clinical Affiliation Agreement) forms. The Coordinator provides essential support for nursing social media, marketing, and recruitment efforts, contributing to the program's visibility and growth.

Furthermore, the position involves maintaining accreditation calendars and sending timely reminders to program directors, chairs, and the Dean regarding report deadlines. The Coordinator stays abreast of Kentucky Board of Nursing regulations and standards, assisting Nursing Program Directors and Chairs with accreditation/certification requirements, including reports, self-studies, and facilitating campus visits by accreditation/regulatory agencies. With a comprehensive understanding of compliance and accreditation processes, the Coordinator plays a key role in upholding program quality and ensuring ongoing compliance, while also remaining adaptable to other assigned duties as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Track and maintain compliance documentation for students in undergraduate clinical rotations.
  • Track and maintain compliance documentation for students in graduate clinical rotations.
  • Track and maintain compliance documentation for Clinical Instructors.
  • Track and maintain compliance documentation for preceptors.
  • Track and maintain compliance for clinical sites (both undergraduate and graduate).
  • Input clinical groups and shifts in CB Bridges for clinical rotations.
  • Track and maintain documentation for CAP forms.
  • Assist as needed with nursing social media, marketing, and recruitment efforts.
  • Maintain accreditation calendars and sends reminders to program directors, chairs, & the Dean when reports are due.
  • Understand and follows Kentucky Board of Nursing regulations and standards and assist the Nursing Programs Directors and Chairs with accreditation/certification requirements including reports, self-studies, and campus visits by accreditation/regulatory agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree. Graduate degree preferred.
  • Previous scheduling experience in an organization that manages at least 60 part-time employees in a 4-month span of time.
  • Nursing, healthcare or higher education experience preferred.
  • Microsoft computer skills, including e-mail, spread sheets, and word processing. Use of digital communications. Experience with Moodle or other learning management platform helpful.
  • Interpersonal skills including professional oral and written communications.
  • Previous experience in supervision of others/supervision of processes.
  • Network of clinical nursing contacts.
