Exciting and rewarding opportunity to join our Catalyst team in Louisville, KY. You will be responsible for execution of the maintenance team. You will develop work and equipment ownership within each team member and towards the team. Evaluating and mentoring each team member's skill set and knowledge development is a key function of this role. You will also foster an environment that encourages knowledge transfer from one team member to another. You will also serve resource that establishes is the work ethic and professionalism of the team.


Responsibilities

  • You will ensure maintenance activities are being executed optimizing time, quality, and cost.
  • Supervise maintenance team members in the execution of reactive, preventative, and project work orders.
  • Audit the work methods of team members and provide them with guidance and feedback
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with the OMC to increase overall maintenance effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Responsible for assisting in troubleshooting of equipment in the field.
  • You will be responsible for developing work and equipment ownership within each team member.
  • Ensure appropriate job-related qualifications and training for team members.
  • Responsible for ensuring maintenance teamwork is performed per the company defined safety program.
  • Encourage knowledge transfer from one team member to another.
  • You will assist in the management of plant Continuous Improvement
  • Continuous study of best practices in maintenance execution to improve plant KPIs.
  • Establish and ensure reoccurring commitment and look back meetings to optimize improvements.
  • Drive and maintain a preventive maintenance culture in the plant.
  • Provide feedback to the P&S team on work operations and assignments.
  • You will manage and have oversight of daily maintenance schedule.
  • Monitor the workload of the maintenance technicians, ensure full workload of hours & minimize overtime.
  • Manage hourly employees' timecards, TO, Call-in, OT, and coverage.
  • Interview, review performance, and offboard maintenance technicians and apprentices.
  • Assure the apprentices are trained on Clariant specific tasks and general maintenance aptitude.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and Post-secondary Trade school or Technical College education.
  • Seeking 5+ years of experience in a maintenance role.
  • You should have 2+ years of experience in a maintenance supervision.
  • Excellent attendance, performance, & safety record with a demonstrated ability to approach safety issues proactively.
  • Excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to learn and apply root cause analyses, lean and six sigma methodologies within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Must be results oriented, decisive, and exhibit good relationship building skills in a professional environment
  • CMMS and SAP experience is a plus
