Snowflake's Chief Communications Officer is seeking a Senior Writer to guide and amplify the company's story across internal and external channels, to reinforce Snowflake's mission and market positioning.

This individual will play a pivotal role in writing and editing - from our corporate narrative to technical press releases to executive speaking points and more. Also important will be planning and executing strategy for a variety of writing projects, such as executive bylines, product thought leadership, corporate blog posts, and more, turning deeply technical concepts into easy-to-understand assets. This role requires a high level of collaboration across the communications, product and broader marketing teams.

Our ideal candidate will have journalism experience, preferably in tech and/or business reporting/editing. We're looking for someone who knows how to manage various stakeholders, embodies a roll-up-your-sleeves work ethic, and has a passion for all aspects of developing and creating great content.

AS A SENIOR WRITER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
  • Develop and write high-impact thought leadership content, in-depth reports, executive bylines, blogs and much more
  • Coordinate with internal marketing partners and the content team on content calendars and content needs, keying in upon promotion-worthy content and topic ideas
  • Continually test and improve communications content strategy for reaching and engaging key target audiences
  • Proactively be a fountain of ideas for new and engaging content that drives results
  • Collaborate with editors and writers across marketing
OUR IDEAL SENIOR WRITER WILL HAVE:
  • 15+ years of journalism experience, ideally within tech and/or business reporting/editing
  • Advanced writing skills and a keen understanding of developing effective messaging
  • Ability to conceptualize technology in a way that applies to different audiences
  • Experience using analytics to determine the impact and effectiveness of content communication channels to better inform our strategy
  • Strong project management skills - the ability to own and drive schedules from start to finish, including managing peers and stakeholder relationships
  • Previous experience with enterprise content is essential

The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:

  • The estimated base salary range for this role is $214,000 - $325,500.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan.

The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
