Overview / Job Summary:
The Student Engagement Intern will work closely with the Director of Student Engagement, who will provide you with real hands-on projects and daily tasks that use social media platforms to promote and manage the brand image of the student Engagement Department. The intern will coordinate programs and events that engage WSU Tech students in co-curricular opportunities to enhance their overall learning experience.

Overview / Job Summary:
The Student Engagement Intern will work closely with the Director of Student Engagement, who will provide you with real hands-on projects and daily tasks that use social media platforms to promote and manage the brand image of the student Engagement Department. The intern will coordinate programs and events that engage WSU Tech students in co-curricular opportunities to enhance their overall learning experience.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
- Oversee graphic design projects such as posters, schedules, digital ads, and apparel designs.
- Work with the Director of Student Engagement and E-Sports Coordinator to create engaging content for all Student Engagement major social media platforms.
- Assist with monitoring the social media channels and activities.
- Provide photography and video support for Student Engagement events.
- Assist with the planning, implementation of student activities/student engagement programs and events.
Education:
- Degree seeking student at Kansas College.
- Previous marketing or event planning internship experience.
- In-depth working knowledge of Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok
- Experience using Adobe software, familiarity using variety of social media platforms, video and photo editing; preferred.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills needed.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to use personal computer and software application.
- Exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
