National Clinical Manager

The Manager supports the Director of Clinical Operations to ensure that operations and programing across the platform occurs consistently, efficiently, compliantly, and professionally while providing a high standard of customer satisfaction through collaboration and support with departmental leads. Manager ensures programs are compliant with all laws, rules, and regulations of federal and state licensing agencies, as well as TJC standards for quality care. Monitors care coordination and quality of care across the hospitals to identify and support areas for improvement. The Manager monitors metrics such as patient volumes, continuum, admission patterns, outcomes, satisfaction, and quality of care to identify areas for improvement. The Manager reviews audits and surveys to determine and deliver upon the need for policy revision, process enhancement, and training. The Manager collaborates with Inpatient and Outpatient clinical leaders, providing training, mentorship, and support. The Manager supports in the development and delivery of programming, schedules, training, competency assessments, and curriculum.


Position Details

  • Develops programs and curriculums and ensures implementation of standards and monitoring of clinical outcomes.
  • Identifies and delivers training opportunities to improve clinical outcomes based on the analysis of identified trends.
  • Analyzes patient satisfaction data, identifying areas for improvement and leading development and training opportunities to improve patient satisfaction across the locations.
  • Serves as a member of the startup team, providing remote and on-site support in training new staff, ensuring high quality and compliant operations consistent with Lifepoint's mission and standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring that company approved programs are implemented and being provided consistently in accordance with policy, guidelines, and regulations.
  • Works and identifies action plans with Business Office and UR Leadership to identify opportunities for improvement in the authorization and financial processes.
  • Ensure treatment teams are conducted regularly, consistent with policy, and that the content of the treatment teams leads to continuity of high-quality patient care.
  • Identify best practices occurring across the facilities and streamline them, ensuring applicability across the platform.
  • Supports in building a collaborative environment, ensuring all Facility team members are working together in a solution-focused manner.
  • Leads/supports the implementation of clinical programming.
  • Supports the continuum of care through conducting disposition analysis and identifying and engaging teams in opportunities/action plans for improved connectivity and barrier remediation.
  • Maintains a cadence with the Directors supporting Outpatient and Inpatient Services, ensuring high quality programming, efficient and effective operations, referral source engagement, and patient outcomes/satisfaction.
  • Works with Directors supporting Outpatient and Inpatient Services to identify opportunities to expand programming to meet the community's needs (i.e. evening programming hours, child and adolescent programming, trauma tracks, etc.)
  • Engages the Outpatient and Inpatient Directors, and other relevant team members, in action planning sessions related to KPI performance opportunities.
  • Supports in training and mentoring new clinical leaders.
  • Creates and delivers trainings to ensure consistent application of processes and standards
  • Identifies opportunities for enhanced clinical programming, obtaining appropriate approval to implement programs (i.e. trauma-focused), and develop/manage an implementation plan - meeting the communities needs and improving clinical delivery of programming.
  • Reviews audits and surveys to determine and deliver upon the need for policy revision, process enhancement, and training.
  • Supports in both mock and real survey activity as needed
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

Education: Masters' Degree from an accredited school in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or counseling.

Experience: 4 years clinical experience required in a psychiatric outpatient setting, multi-site management preferred

License: Valid driver's license preferred.

Additional Requirements: May be required to work flexible hours and overtime. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
