Senior Financial Analyst
This is a high-profile role with direct exposure to executive management and private-equity firm deal team members; Reports to VP-Finance
Must be able to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment with tight deadlines and constantly changing priorities which may require late night/weekend work on some occasions.  Requires regular communication/availability after normal business hours (text, email, Teams etc.)  Some infrequent travel may be required.

This is an in-office role but with some flexibility for occasional remote work.

Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for producing analysis of financial and operational data to present /understand trends, identify insights and help management make informed decisions.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for management, lenders, and Board members:
    • Includes coordinating the pro-active collection of inputs from various management team members and converting into board-level quality PowerPoint slides and supporting Excel schedules.
  • Manage the 13-week cash forecast process and related inputs.
  • Manage monthly lender reporting including computation of debt covenants.
  • Involvement in analyzing revenues and margins and related pricing including support for RFPs.
  • Ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of financial analysis experience ideally in a private-equity firm (or portfolio company thereof) or an investment bank
  • Degree in finance or accounting; MBA a plus
  • Understanding of accounting concepts and terminology (financial statement structures, GAAP, accrual accounting concepts, etc.)
  • Expert-level excel skills required.
  • Experience with dashboards and related tools (Power BI or equivalent)
  • Hands-on experience extracting and manipulating data from various systems and in various formats (SQL etc.) and interacting with internal and external IT resources to understand data structures and underlying logic. 
  • Experience with buy and/or sell-side M&A a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes and related systems
  • Extensive experience with and ability to craft compelling graphs, tables etc. in formats suitable for Board-of-director presentations (in PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort dealing directly with executive management and private equity deal team members.
  • Must be well organized, resourceful, curious, dependable and detail orientated.
  • Accuracy is paramount – must be able to check, double check work, self-audit work product to ensure accuracy.
  • Must be a self-starter who can prioritize tasks and manage deadlines.
